The Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA) is a vital ministry under the Government of India responsible for the socio-economic and educational empowerment of minority communities, including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains. Established in 2006, the Ministry works to ensure equality, inclusion, and development opportunities for all minority citizens across the nation.
Through scholarships, skill training, entrepreneurship support, infrastructure development, and financial inclusion programs, MoMA empowers minorities to actively participate in India’s economic growth. It also coordinates with states, NGOs, and educational institutions to implement targeted welfare schemes.
