Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, born on 5 March 1959 in Jait village, Madhya Pradesh, is one of India’s most experienced leaders and the longest-serving Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. A gold medalist in Philosophy from Barkatullah University and an RSS volunteer since childhood, he began his political career with the ABVP, became MLA from Budhni in 1990, and served as MP from Vidisha five times. As Chief Minister across four terms (2005–2023), he led key departments like Finance, Home, and Agriculture, introducing welfare schemes such as Ladli Laxmi, Sambal, and Laadli Behna Yojana. In June 2024, he became Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, focusing on self-reliant and digital agriculture to empower farmers and rural India.
