It supports domestic manufacturing, technology upgradation, and Industry 4.0 adoption to strengthen India’s industrial base and global competitiveness.

MHI steers flagship programmes like FAME India for e-mobility, PLI – Automobiles & Auto Components, testing & homologation infrastructure (NATRAX/NATRiP), and initiatives for modernization of capital goods and MSME participation in heavy engineering value chains.
