National Textile Corporation Limited (NTC) is a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Incorporated in 1968 and strengthened after the Sick Textile Undertakings (Nationalisation) Act, 1974, NTC took over several sick textile mills across India to safeguard employment, preserve capacity and support the domestic textile value chain.

NTC operates/managed integrated spinning and weaving units, undertakes marketing of yarn & fabrics under NTC brands, and executes asset modernisation, rationalisation and redevelopment in line with government policy. The corporation continues to focus on professionalism, transparency and value maximisation of national textile assets.

Shri Giriraj Singh (born 8 September 1952 in Bihar) is a senior BJP leader and the current Union Minister of Textiles (since June 2024). A seasoned politician, he earlier served as Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Animal Husbandry, and MSMEs, after a long stint in Bihar politics.
