1. What Is CCRUM?
The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) is an autonomous apex body under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, responsible for scientific research, drug standardization, and clinical validation in the Unani system of medicine.
It was established in 1978 to modernize and scientifically validate Unani principles, therapies, and formulations, ensuring their safety, efficacy, and global credibility.
In simple terms — 🌿 CCRUM is the national research institution that works to prove scientifically how Unani medicine — one of the world’s oldest holistic health systems — benefits modern public health.
