About the Scheme

Silk Samagra-II is the continuation of the first Silk Samagra programme (2017-21). It is a comprehensive, cluster-based scheme that integrates all activities of sericulture and silk industry development — from seed to silk marketing.

The scheme supports:

  • Market development, brand building, and export facilitation.

Objectives

  2. To improve quality, productivity, and income of silk farmers.
  3. To generate sustainable rural employment, especially for women, SC/ST, and tribal populations.
  4. To promote innovation, digital monitoring, and cluster development in sericulture.
  5. To ensure traceability and transparency through IT-based DBT systems.
